As the Gordon Browns government commits to ramping up nuclear electricity production, costs are set to rocket and electricity prices will be forever increasing.

Electricity suppliers will not be able to keep up with annual fuel price rises and we can look forward to rising costs many times a year.

Energywatch Scotland said the recent 22% hike in gas and electricity prices was the "most serious single event in two years of trauma for energy consumers".
